Creed Foodservice’s new distribution centre in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire has officially become fully operational after a three-phase transfer process.
Approximately 300 of its national and independent customers’ sites, in the care, education, hotel, restaurant, leisure destination and in-store cafe sectors have been transferred across.
In addition to Creed’s head office and distribution centre in Staverton, Gloucestershire and Ilkeston, Derbyshire, High Wycombe becomes the business’ third depot site.
The new site was acquired in the South-East in order to capitalise on opportunities surrounding the growing eating-out market, and strong-performing care and education sectors.
The distribution centre supplies chefs and caterers with products across the frozen, chilled, grocery, fresh produce, meats and non-food categories.
Philip de Ternant, MD at Creed, said: “Our new distribution centre is part of continued investment in our growth, and indeed in our service levels to customers on a regional and national basis.
“London and the South East continue to attract emerging foodservice brands, so it’s an exciting time to be able to enter this region.”
