Women in Wholesale 2019’s theme has been named as ‘skilling up’, with registration for its speed networking and mentoring event now open.

Ten mentors have been selected to help support career development in areas such as how to manage time more effectively, prioritising, influencing senior management and developing businesses resilience.

These include Yulia Goodwin, head of trading & marketing at Sugro UK, who is covering the topic of effective negotiation, and Country Range Group managing director Coral Rose, who will give advice on how to work a boardroom.

Other mentors on the day will include Helen Rimmer, national account controller at Carlsberg; Sarah Whiddet, head of insight and customer experience at Bidfood; and Clare Bocking, commercial director of Tulip.

Founder and organiser, Elit Rowland, said: “Business resilience and time management will be big on our agenda this year. We know that a lack of career development opportunities is a barrier to progress for 51% of women in wholesale (WiW & HIM Report 2017). Our April event will have a strong focus on personal and professional development in a friendly, formalised networking environment.”

The event is free to attend and will take place on 25 April 2019 in London.
