The National Buying Consortium (NBC) has announced Jason Langmead as it new chairman, with his previous role of vice chairman to now be fulfilled by David Longfellow, following the approval of the appointments at the AGM last year.
Managing director David Lunt also thanked the departing inaugural chairman Stuart Lane for his leadership during the formative years of the group. “His leadership has proved to be invaluable in our first year and during extremely difficult trading conditions caused by the pandemic.”

Langmead, who has spent the last year in the role of vice chairman, has more than 35 years of trade experience in the FMCG market whereas Longfellow is the director of Leeds-based J. L. Brooks
“Together with the existing team, we are confident that the board of directors can provide the necessary stewardship for the group and ensure that we continue to offer a forward-thinking and unified wholesale solution to the UK market,” said Lunt.
