RNF’s e-commerce platform b2b.store is to launch a virtual trade event for its wholesale customers which will enable them to create bespoke, virtual, standalone shops in place of traditional depot-based events, allowing them to promote specific products that are on offer.
Customers will be able to sign up to the event in advance and will be given a specific log-in. Product and advertising slots within the event will also be sold to suppliers based on a rate card produced by b2b.store.

b2b.store will also be offering full support to manage the event, including a full onboarding manager prior to and during the event including daily analytics and advertising and product slot set-up services.
Rob Mannion, founder and chief executive of RNF’s b2b.store said: “Physical trade events have become a key part of the traditional wholesaler calendar, driving sales and providing opportunities to connect with customers. Unfortunately, the ongoing pandemic means these events are increasingly difficult to plan for or deliver, so a virtual equivalent makes a lot of sense.
“As well as offering a practical alternative to one of the mainstays of the year, Virtual Trade Events can also offer a number of advantages over their in-depot counterparts, such as the ability to adapt promotional activity in real time and reduced set up and operational costs.
“We have vast experience running these types of events, having successfully done so for some of the largest wholesalers in the UK. This new offering from b2b.store will help wholesalers continue to benefit from trade events in these uncertain times but in a much more controlled and cost-effective way.”
