Blakemore Foodservice has launched a click & collect service in which it is allowing members of the public to buy food in family-size quantities during the coronavirus pandemic.
The service began on 15 April and is based in the wholesaler’s Darlaston distribution centre in the West Midlands. Customers can choose from around 200 product lines, including store cupboard essentials, chilled and frozen food, and fresh meat and produce boxes.

A dedicated website has been set up and after placing their orders online, customers are then offered one-hour time slots convenient to them.
Head of Foodservice Caoire Blakemore said: “At this difficult time, many people are facing challenges buying essential groceries. Our next-day click & collect service provides a quick and easy alternative to supermarket queues and waiting weeks for online deliveries.
