Fairway Foodservice member Charles Saunders Foodservice has won the Large Business of the Year award at the 2017 Bristol Post Business Awards.
Expansion has seen the company, which operates from two depots in Bristol, purchasing a new cold store facility in the city centre, which it will be relocating to in the autumn.
Managing director Darren Gaulton, said: “The award win is testament to the fantastic team we have. This wouldn’t have been possible without every member of staff working as hard as they do.”
Due to the expansion of its product range and delivery areas, Gaulton added: “We are planning further investment in the building with a view to moving in in the autumn. The new building will give us a larger cold storage capacity and a complete wet fish facility, as well as accommodating our wide range of non-food products.”
Over the last eight years, the wholesaler’s turnover has increased from £6m in 2008, to £20m in 2016.
