Fresh to Store, the new owner of Kerryfresh, is introducing two ways for retailers to order from its range of more than 40 brands and more than 400 chilled and fresh products, as well as a host of new offerings to help retailers drive sales.
Retailers can order online via the Kerry Fresh website or through the app GoKart, which can be downloaded to their smartphones and tablets. All orders placed through the new services will be dispatched with their next delivery.
“Seven out of 10 of our retailers already order food and drink from other categories online, and they told us they wanted even more ways to order from us,” explains Sue Cronin-Jones, Trading Director at Fresh to Store.
Meanwhile, as part of its promise to offer retailers “something new every week” in the £3.8bn chilled and fresh convenience category, the delivered wholesaler has launched a new ‘Favourites’ range in response to retailer demand for more value offerings. Totalling 80 products, the range covers every day favourites including meat snacking, yoghurts, desserts and ready meals, with many price marked at £1.
Since March, Fresh to Store has also added more categories to its sale or return service including bacon and cheese and a host of new price marked pack offerings.
Its van fleet is also making more than 100 additional Saturday journeys throughout the summer season to ensure retailers keep pace with the increased demand for chilled foods.
“As we promised earlier this year following the management buyout of Kerryfresh by Fresh to Store, we will constantly be talking to retailers to offer them more of the products that they need to be successful in chilled retailing,” adds Sue Cronin-Jones.
