Birmingham-based foodservice company Giro Foods has acquired Tiger Foods from Hyperama, with the former choosing to now focus on its cash and carry business.
In late 2021, Tiger merged three regional depots into a singular national hub, with the Derby, Peterborough, and West Bromwich switching to Nottingham. Following that, former commercial director Steve Davison took over as managing director.

Marcus Singh, managing director of Hyperama, said: “We are pleased to announce the sale of our Tiger Foods business to Giro Foods. Javed and his family have been friends of ours for many years and this is an ideal fit which allows Hyperama to focus now on our cash and carry business. We thank all of our customers and suppliers who have helped us develop the Tiger Foods business over the years, and we wish Giro Foods continued success in the integration of Tiger Foods into the Giro Foods business and with further growing their business. Streamlining our operations in this way allows us to now concentrate on our core cash and carry business for the future.”
