JJ Foodservice has increased annual salaries of HGV drivers at its London branches by £5k to £40k, for what the company claims will create the best working environment for them.
In addition to the salary increase, the wholesaler is offering state-of-the-art vehicles, no evenings or weekends work, local deliveries, no rotas or shift work as well consistent start times.

The Government recently announced that it will issue temporary visas to 5000 HGV drivers in the UK with more than 100,000 vacancies to fill.
With just 1% of UK HGV drivers female, JJ is actively encouraging more females to consider HGV driver roles.
