JJ Foodservice has launched a recruitment campaign directed at women for HGV driver roles, due to a shortage of delivery drivers as a result of European workers returning to their native country since the start of Brexit.
Human resources manager, Joanna Florczak said “Only 1% of HGV drivers in the UK are women – we want to help change that”.

“Our drivers are the face of our business – they are friendly, professional and provide the great service that JJ has become well-known and loved for,” she added.
JJ Foodservice are offering permanent contract positions with no gender pay gap. The position also includes in-house training, long-term career prospects and modern vehicles.
The wholesaler predicts an increase in demand as restrictions ease, their customer base is already up by 22% from last year.
