JJ Foodservice unveils self-service kiosks

JJ Foodservice has introduced self-service kiosks across its depot network, with the machines having already processed more than £575K in orders within the first month of going live.

These new tills will allow customers to benefit from deals previously reserved for pre-ordered collections only.

“The best way to save at JJ was to order online in advance – but that meant counter customers were missing out,” said chief operating officer, Kaan Hendekli. “Now, they can enjoy the same savings in-branch, with our quick, easy-to-use kiosks. The response has been fantastic. The kiosks are making shopping even easier – saving customers time, reducing costs, and improving convenience nationwide.”

JJ recently stepped up its strategy of new acquisitions, with the foodservice wholesaler targeting opportunities across various sectors to broaden its scope and strengthen its offering for caterers, including alcohol and convenience retail.

The company is already in discussions with potential partners to drive its acquisition strategy, and recently bought London-based wholesaler Gatelands Supplies as part of a strategy to increase its offering to Asian restaurants.
