Lomond achieves B Corp status

Lomond Fine Foods along with its bakery company Cake has officially achieved B Corp status, the first for a Scottish wholesale business and the third wholesaler in the UK.

The B Corp certification recognises the company’s commitment to balancing purpose and profit and ensuring that it meets the highest standards of social and environmental impact.

“A huge thank you to Anne, our director of technical & safety, for all her hard work and dedication in helping us reach this milestone. Together, we’re not just about great food – we’re also about making a positive impact on the world,” a company statement said.

Fine foods wholesaler Cotswold Fayre as one of the first companies in the industry to receive B Corp accreditation in 2015 and has since launch B Corp Accelerator Programme, with the aim of helping its suppliers through the B Corp accreditation process.
