MJ Baker moves into new depot as it confirms Westcountry Foodservice rebrand

Devon-based MJ Baker has officially moved into a brand-new facility in Newton Abbot, with the company also set to rebrand into Westcountry Foodservice.

The construction of the Kitwave-owned business’ new 80,000 sq. ft distribution site in the Devon was recently completed and the new depot will enable the group to consolidate three sites into one. The site will also offer a full product offering with a complete foodservice range, ice cream, fresh produce, and on-trade to the customer base. Furthermore, the company’s e-commerce platform has also undergone a soft launch, with a new online ordering portal now in place.

Westcountry Foodservice managing director James Russell, said: “This rebrand is more than just a name change—it’s the evolution of a brand that stands for quality, service, and innovation. We’re coming together as one, with even stronger foundations.”

“This moment is more than just a series of milestones—it’s the first big step in uniting the strength of our Westcountry and MJ Baker teams. The foundation is now laid for something even greater. For our colleagues, supply partners, and especially our customers, the future holds even more innovation, an expanding product range, and the same industry service we are known for.
