Caroline Barr has been appointed to the role of business development manager at NBC in a move the business claims is ‘another piece of the jigsaw of its development.’
The company recently reported continuous growth throughout the business at its AGM, with the buying group welcoming 11 members and revenue growing by 25% over the past year. Managing director David Lunt also explained that its core categories – soft drinks, snacks, confectionery – are averaging over 30% increases.

On Barr’s appointment, Lunt said: “This is such a great appointment for the group – we have known Caroline a number of years because of her experience in the channel and to be able to build upon her skills, experience and relationships will be a great asset for the company. Everyone in the group is looking forward to meeting her very soon and getting to grips with the opportunities that exist to give our members access to great brands at fair prices so that they are available to consumers at the point of purchase or consumption in the channels we serve”.
Barr added: “I am very pleased and excited to be joining the group at such an important stage in its development and be given the brief and support to make a real difference to what we, our members and supplier partners can achieve. The structure here is designed so that members are actively engaged in its development and being part of that journey is a real privilege!”.
