The National Buying Consortium (NBC) has recruited Jon Westwood as its distribution manager following a growth in sales.
The buying growth claims to have seen consistent growth throughout the Covid-19 pandemic which has resulted in the need to strengthen the head office team.
Westwood, who was previously with Mars Wrigley Confectionary for five years, he said: “I am looking forward to working in NBC to further develop the Central Distribution (NDN) facility which in such a short period of time has become an integral part of business. We have already implemented new systems aligned with our logistics provider to further support the ongoing growth and collective buying power from the group.”
NBC’s managing director, David Lunt, added: “I am pleased to welcome John to the team which now stands at seven. John’s knowledge of the sector will help support the ongoing growth of the group and ensure solid foundations are in place to drive the National Distribution Network side of the business which is unique in the industry by being wholly owned by its members.”
