Parfetts has appointed Anthony Downing as its store development manager. He joins from his last role with Costcutter, where he supported retailers in his role as retail design manager.

Retail director at Parfetts, Guy Swindell, said: “Antony brings a huge amount of experience to this new role. We continue to invest in and evolve our Go Local fascia with new talented people that are dedicated to supporting retailers, along with new technology and services such as our innovative GOLD delivery service.”.
In the last financial year, Parfetts turnover jumped by 26% to £474m, with sales expected to exceed £500m in 2021. The wholesaler has also invested £1.5m into its infrastructure and facilities. It also aims to increase capacity for its delivered operation by extending its Aintree and Sheffield depots.
Downing discussed his new role: “Parfetts and Go Local have built an enviable reputation in recent years and its focus on supporting retailers is second to none. I look forward to working closely with our retailers to optimise their store performance and help take their businesses to the next level.”

In the coming months, Go Local will undergo developments that will create a variety of new store formats. They aim to provide industry-leading levels of flexibility, great value and regular promotional offers.
