Parfetts head of trading, Gurms Athwal said: “To support our retailers, Parfetts will provide clear communication on legislation changes and cut-off dates. Our sales teams will work closely with retailers to develop tailored plans for clearing non-compliant stock by the end of May or earlier. We are committed to ensuring that retailers have alternative, compliant products available in-store ahead of the new regulations coming into effect.
“In collaboration with suppliers, we are ensuring a smooth transition by managing stock clearance and uplifting certain packs. Additionally, we are working closely with both existing and new suppliers to introduce compliant product ranges that will be available for sale from 1 June. For further updates, retailers are encouraged to stay in touch with their Parfetts sales representatives.”
