Premier Foods is launching a new recipe guide specifically focussed on the dessert occasion, to provide both profit and cost sector chefs with top tips and recipe inspiration.
With 40% of consumers now claiming to eat dessert out of home after a meal at least twice a week, the guide aims to highlight the huge opportunity outlets can unlock by offering a sweet menu all year round. The new Dessert Solutions Guide will follow the same format as the popular Menu Solutions Guide, giving top tips and recipe inspiration for major yearly events, and will focus on recipes for each season.
Mark Rigby, executive chef at Premier Foods, comments; “Our previous guide has been well received within the industry and we are delighted to provide chefs and caterers with this second instalment. Each recipe has been designed with the cost per portion in mind and every seasonal section contains recipes to suit a range of budgets. We have split this into four seasonal recipe sections, each one dedicated to a different season, in order to make the guide as easy-to-use as possible. We can’t wait to see the reaction to this guide and hope that it will prove to be as useful and inspiring as its forerunner.”
Whilst many of the desserts within the new guide will be familiar favourites such as Sticky Toffee Pudding, Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing and a classic Eton Mess, there are also some innovative surprises, to give inspiration. The different seasons provide the perfect opportunity to refresh menus and offer customers something new, in order to boost both uptake and sales.
