When confronted by reporters in Bucharest, criminal leader Zeno Gugulan admitted that he sold some of the items to the Bedford-based wholesaler and various car boot sales.
A representative of the wholesaler also told an undercover Romanian journalist posing as a thief that the company could sell its stolen goods “all over the world,”, but later denied selling stolen items.
Two of the four suspects, Robert-claudiu Alexe and Elena-brindusa Efta, were arrested and sentenced to 27 months and 18 months in prison respectively.
