Sysco unveils own-brand range

Sysco has entered the own-brand sector with a complete range for the UK market that the company claims covers all the basic, everyday items chefs need, as well as premium ingredients.

The family of products will fall under three different tiers: Sysco Essentials, Sysco Classic and Sysco Premium – and made available to all Sysco’s British businesses, including Brakes, kff and Medina Foodservice.

Sysco Premium is said to offer superior products that stand out for the quality of their ingredients, Sysco Classic are claimed to provide quality products that are a match for any branded product, while Sysco Essentials offers a value alternative.

Stuart Smith, merchandising director for Sysco in GB, said: “The Sysco brand is hugely successful in the US, where it has built a strong reputation for quality and value. The new range we’ve introduced in Great Britain will help customers here more easily identify the products they want, while giving them confidence what they’re selecting is backed by the quality and value you’d expect from the world’s leading foodservice supplier.”
