Three wholesalers join Sugro membership

Sugro has welcomed three new members to the group, with Eurotrade (W), Monmore Confectionery and Akdeniz Finsbury all adding to the purchasing power of the buying group.

Eurotrade (W)

Established in 1983, Eurotrade (W) expanded its operations in 2010 by relocating to a 30,000 sq.ft. warehouse and broadening their product offering to include a variety of food and beverage lines. Today, Eurotrade offers wholesale delivery services across a diverse range of products including confectionery, soft drinks, household goods and toiletries, and select ambient grocery items.

Director Pritesh Mehta said: “At Eurotrade, we are thrilled to become part of the Sugro family. This partnership will allow us to expand our product portfolio and offer an even wider range to our customers. We look forward to building a strong relationship with the Sugro team.”

Monmore Confectionery

Monmore Confectionery was formed in 1989 and acts as both a cash-and-carry and delivered wholesaler, as well as selling directly to the general public through its e-commerce store. After recently expanding its warehouse to 50,000 sq. ft., Monmore now turns over more than £20m.

Managing director Skip Mehta, said: “Joining Sugro marks an exciting new chapter for Monmore Confectionery. As we continue to grow and expand our offering, this partnership allows us to strengthen our position in the wholesale confectionery market while providing even greater value to our customers.”

Akdeniz Finsbury

Akdeniz Finsbury operates across the retail, wholesale and restaurant sectors, with the business also owning five supermarkets and five restaurants of its own, which stock a wide range of product lines across all key categories.

The wholesaler supplies grocery and foodservice products to a wide customer base and recently opened a new warehouse in Harlow which will carry all current Grocery and Foodservice lines with a view to increasing their reach and capacity to supplying fifty supermarkets and twenty-five restaurants outside of their ownership.
