Today’s Group’s members Dhamecha, HT Drinks, United Wholesale and Elbrook have each moved up a rank in the top 30 UK wholesaler list.
The group’s largest UK-based member Dhamecha moved from number 13 to 12 after reporting sales of £628m, up 7.4% from the previous year.
HT Drinks moved from 18 to 17 after reporting sales of £218m, while United Wholesale grew almost 5% compared with the previous year and moved from 19 to 18.
Elbrook Cash & Carry moved up from 27 to 26 after reporting sales of £136m. Last year, the business was ranked 9th in the Sunday Times International Track 200.
JW Filshill ranked 24 with sales of £158m and a 194% increase in profits after streamlining operations.
Bill Laird, managing director of Today’s, said the movements were indicators of the long-term commitments of the wholesalers to the independent sector.
“The retailers, caterers, food outlets and publicans that our members work with have aligned themselves to wholesalers that are strong, forward-thinking and who will be around for the long term,” he added.
