JDM Food Group, has received an AA* rating following an unannounced food accreditation audit carried out by the British Retail Consortium (BRC).
JDM is one of the first food companies to achieve AA* recognition under the new BRC food system. Mandeep Grewal, Technical Director for JDM Food Group, said, “There’s no higher grade than AA*, so we couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the audit. It’s a fantastic achievement for JDM. “Our perfect rating is a true testament of our ongoing commitment to meeting the highest standards of food safety, product and process control, site standards and personnel. With that said, we think earning this grade will give our customers more confidence in JDM and will hopefully open more doors for us moving forward.”
The BRC is the leading trade association for UK retailing. Although the BRC food safety standard began in the UK, it is now recognised as a global standard with over 17,000 BRC certified sites worldwide and a large network of BRC certification bodies in 90 countries.
