Video: Premier Foods Summer of Cricket campaign returns

The Wholesale arm of Premier Foods has brought back its Summer of Cricket campaign for the second year in a row, giving Independent Retailers the chance to win prizes.

Better Wholesaling recently visited Parfetts’ Stockport depot to check out the launch of the competition with Lancashire Cricket Club star Luke Wood.

The supplier is partnering with wholesalers Bestway and Unitas members to offer retailers the chance to win hospitality and general admission tickets to see England play at The Kia Oval and Emirates Old Trafford, as well as a trip to Pakistan for two retailers to meet and train with England cricket coach Paul Collingwood.

To be in with a chance of winning, retailers need to buy five cases of qualifying products from the Batchelors, Nissin, Bisto, Oxo, Ambrosia, Sharwood’s, Loyd Grossman, McDougalls and Be-Ro ranges during the relevant promotion period from Bestway or Unitas wholesalers.

During the first phase of the campaign, entrants had the chance to win one of two pairs of general admission tickets to England v Sri Lanka at the Kia Oval, or one of four pairs of general admission tickets to England v Sri Lanka at Emirates Old Trafford.

Now, Independent Retailers have the chance to win a holiday to Pakistan until 14 July at Unitas and until 18 July at Bestway.

Finally, one pair of Emirates Old Trafford hospitality tickets to England v Australia or one pair of Kia Oval hospitality tickets to England v Sri Lanka will be up for grabs from 19 July until 15 August at Bestway and from 15 July until 4 August at Unitas.

Robert Craven, Convenience Customer Controller at Premier Foods, said: “From speaking to our retail customers, we know they have a huge passion for cricket and the Summer of Cricket campaign allows us to celebrate the sport with them this summer… it’s important for us to give back to independent retailers and support our retail and wholesale channels.”
