We Are Beer expands event network

We are Beer, the organiser behind the London, Bristol and Manchester Craft Beer Festivals, is to add to its programme of events with a bespoke session for the beer trade at its Manchester opening day this summer (Friday 5th July 2024, 12.30 to 16.30).

The event will be in addition to the London trade session (Friday 9th August 2024, 11.30 to 16.30), with more than 3,500 trade visitors from 835 companies attending last year. In total, buyers responsible for 67% of UK craft beer sales visited a We are Beer festival in 2023. Throughout 2024, all of the scheduled events are set to attract over 35,000 drinkers, buyers and industry professionals.

Alongside a programme of talks, tastings and networking, trade visitors will be able to sample exclusive and new beers from a diverse range of craft brewers. These include British craft brewers such as Deya, Siren, Tiny Rebel, Verdant and SALT; traditional cask and craft brewers such as St Austell, Magic Rock and Timothy Taylor, alongside international brewers such as Duvel Moortgat, Budvar and a delegation from the Brewers Association of America.

Any trade unable to attend these two events can still attend the Bristol Craft Beer Festival, which remains a consumer event for now (Friday 7th and Saturday 8th June 2024).

Greg Wells, co-founder of We are Beer said: “Manchester has a thriving beer scene and is home to an impressive array of breweries and operators and this new trade session will showcase the very best craft beers the UK beer sector has to offer to the key decision makers and influencers in the city and beyond.

“Our London trade event has proved an enormous success, attracting close to 750 buyers last year from UK on and off-trade groups, independents, and wholesalers from across the UK and Europe. By adding an additional trade session in Manchester, we want to ensure more of the beer trade can access our unique events and drive excitement, value and business in the sector.”

Tickets for both the trade sessions are available now from wearebeer.com/trade.
