The Women in Wholesale (WiW) initiative has announced the launch of a new set of awards designed to highlight people and businesses successfully attracting and retaining talent.
WiW founder Elit Rowland said that great progress is already being made to support more diverse talent pools in wholesale, but more businesses must be prepared to step forward to share best practice, and this has led to the creation of the Wholesale Star Awards.
Categories will include Best Recruitment Campaign, Best Initiative to Retain and Develop Talent, Best Inclusive Leader and Woman of the Year. Entries are open to both men and women, where relevant.
Rowland said: “61% of senior level attendees have told us they are making changes to their business strategy since attending our conference. These awards will help to recognise and reward the businesses and individuals who are making a difference.”
The prizes will be handed out at the end of the 2019 WiW conference next October, and the official call for entries will be confirmed at a later date.
