Wholesale’s top female bosses and rising stars are being invited to attend the Women in Wholesale conference on the 18th of October in London.
The event is designed to nurture and support existing talent while inspiring and motivating newcomers. Delegates will be able to pick up management, leadership, sales and marketing skills from a line-up of award-winning wholesalers and industry experts.
Event founder and organiser Elit Rowland said: “The Government has set a target of having 33% female representation on FTSE 350 boards by 2020. Our independent research has shown that females occupy less than 10% of senior management positions in wholesale – presenting great opportunities for women currently working in the sector.”
Confirmed speakers include Spar managing director Debbie Robinson, award winning Bidvest general manager Julie Tidy and Coral Rose, managing director of foodservice specialist Country Range Group.
As well as welcoming managers and directors, the event is also open to newcomers to the channel. “It’s a valuable chance to build knowledge and meet top industry people while demonstrating the great development opportunities available in wholesale,” said Rowland.
Early sponsors include Today’s Group and Kerry Foods.
