Żabka Group acquires Romanian wholesaler

Polish wholesale firm Żabka Group has entered the Romanian market with the acquisition of wholesaler DRIM Daniel Distributie as part of an international growth strategy it adopted in 2021.

The Zabka Group serves more than 3m customers each day across Europe, with over 10,000 stores and door-to-door delivery. Its entry into the Romanian market forms part of a plan to expand its convenience concept across European markets.

Tomasz Suchański, chief executive of Żabka Group, said; “We are building a partnership with the company that benefits from an immense trust from its business partners and customers in the domestic market, but it also grows adhering to the standards to which we are committed at Żabka.
